My neighbor said my 2x4 shelf would sag by summer, and now he's got me second guessing the whole build
I was showing Bob my garage shelving plan over the fence on Sunday and he told me that a 2x4 laying flat across 4 feet will sag under paint cans by July. I've got three coats of poly and a box of screws in it already, so now I'm staring at the thing wondering if I should rip it apart and add a center support. Has anyone run a flat 2x4 span like that for real and did it hold?
