Am I the only one who didn't know to stir paint before each use?

I kept getting uneven color on my walls. Stirring the paint every time fixed it completely.

Yeah it took me two whole rooms of patchy, streaky mess to figure that out. I was ready to blame the paint itself or my cheap roller. Now I just give it a quick stir with a stick even if I just opened the can, because all that stuff sinks right to the bottom so fast. Made the whole job look way more even in the end.

Wondering if you ever tried shaking the can instead of stirring. I made that mistake once thinking it would mix better, but then the paint came out all wrong until I actually stirred it properly. Go figure the shaking just makes bubbles and can mess with how it dries. Did you get any splatter or weird texture when you finally got the stirring right?

Yeah that bit about being ready to blame the paint really hit home... I always thought stirring was just for old cans. Seeing @the_ray's post made me try it on a fresh one and the difference was honestly wild. Won't skip that step again.
