Paid $150 for a fancy closet organizer kit that totally flopped

I ordered one of those modular closet systems online last spring cause I was tired of my clothes piling up. The shelves were flimsy and the brackets didn't even line up with the studs in my wall, so I spent an extra day patching holes and returning it. Has anyone else had better luck with a specific brand that actually holds up?

Did you check the weight rating on those before you bought? I grabbed a similar kit from Home Depot last year and it was solid as a rock, no issues.

Yeah that "solid as a rock" part is spot on @shane244. I got the same kit from Home Depot and it hasn't budged an inch in almost a year now. I even hung a heavy shelf off one of the brackets and it's still holding strong with zero sag. The weight rating was way higher than I needed so that gave me peace of mind. The whole install took maybe 20 minutes and I'm no handyman. Definitely worth grabbing if you're on the fence.
