TIL my grocery store loyalty card knew I was pregnant before my sister did
Back in 2019 I paid cash for almost everything and never thought twice about it, but somewhere along the way I started scanning that little card at Kroger for the fuel points and now I get coupons for baby stuff I never searched for. My sister found out she was expecting 6 weeks after I did, and the mailers showed up at my place first, which means someone out there was watching what I bought and guessing. Does anyone know if you can actually opt out of that kind of targeting or is it just gone once you sign up?
