The $180 'airport lounge pass' that was just a hostel common room

I bought a nomad lounge subscription thinking it would give me workspace access in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Turned out the 'locations' were mostly hostel lobbies with one power strip and a guy snoring nearby. Lost $180 over two months before I checked the actual addresses. Has anyone else paid for one of these pass apps that turned out to be glorified waiting areas?
