That thread about coworking in Medellin changed my mind on hostels

I’ve always thought hostels were just for partying, but someone posted how they get a private room at a Selina in El Poblado for $180 a month with solid WiFi. Now I’m booking one for my next trip to Colombia in March. Has anyone else switched from Airbnbs to hostel private rooms?

I mean, $180 and good WiFi beats my last Airbnb where I found a scorpion in the coffee maker.

Whoa, a scorpion in the coffee maker? That's way worse than anything I've dealt with, I would have honestly just packed my bags and left! I'm glad this place is working out so much better for you, sounds like a solid deal with that strong WiFi. Hope the rest of your stay is totally bug free.
