Ho Chi Minh cafes vs Chiang Mai cafes, the coffee price flip is wild

Three years ago I paid 40k dong for a solid pour over in Saigon. Now the same spot charges 80k and the wifi drops every 10 minutes, meanwhile my old Chiang Mai haunt still does 60 baht lattes with fiber internet. Has anyone else noticed Vietnam getting pricier than Thailand for nomad basics?
