I finally talked to my old boss about how we used to do outreach
He was saying how we'd spend weeks just building lists manually, and now it's all automated tools and AI. It made me miss the weird personal connections you'd make, like that one time we got a meeting because the guy liked the same obscure band I mentioned in an email. Does anyone else feel like the human touch is just gone from agency work now?

You know what @noah_davis said about shared errors? I once got a whole kitchen remodel job because the client saw my truck had the same weird dent as his. How do you even put that in a CRM?

Just use a custom field in the CRM for notes like that. @noah_davis is right, those weird little connections are gold. I've got a whole column for "how we clicked" that's just random stuff.

Remember when you could tell a client was real because they'd send back a one line email in all caps about your terrible taste in music? Now my inbox is full of perfect, polite AI replies that all sound like they were written by the same very boring robot. I got a meeting once because I misspelled the same word the same way a founder did in their old blog post. You can't automate that kind of beautiful, shared human error.
