My new drawing tablet decided to have a disco party right in the middle of a big commission last night.
The screen started flashing every color imaginable for a solid 30 seconds before it went completely black, so I had to finish the line art on my phone with my finger, which took twice as long and looked ridiculous.

My old Wacom did that once. I found a driver rollback in the device manager fixed it for good.

Driver rollbacks can be a good first step, but they don't always stick for good. Windows Update has a habit of quietly reinstalling the newer, broken driver on its own schedule. Had that exact thing happen with a tablet last year. Ended up having to use a group policy setting to block those automatic updates for that specific hardware. Sometimes you need a more permanent fix.

Happens with so many things now, not just computers. It's like trying to get your phone to stop doing that one annoying thing after an update and it just comes back overnight. You ever notice how tech is always trying to "fix" something you never wanted changed in the first place?

Funny how that easy fix works like magic for some but never for others.
