Threw $300 at a reman injector that was DOA, should have bench tested first

I bought a set of reman injectors off a parts house online six weeks ago for my 5.9 Cummins. Stuck number 5 in without checking anything, just bolted it on and fired it up. That cylinder ran rough as hell, knocking like crazy, turned out the injector was stuck closed from the factory. Lost an afternoon of labor and had to pull it back out, plus shipping for a replacement. Has anyone else had bad luck with reman injectors or is it just me?

Stuck closed from the factory" and @the_julia i gotta say it feels like not everyone has time to sit and break in a brand new valve for a week. some people just need their water heater to work day one you know?

My buddy bought that exact valve and @the_julia was right, cheap parts bit him hard.
