Showerthought: Are we overtorquing our oil drain plugs?
After 10 years I finally bought a torque wrench for oil changes and realized I was cranking them down way too tight based on feel alone so how many of you actually torque to spec versus just going by the ugga-dugga method?

Cranked mine down like I was tightening lug nuts for years...

Oof yeah I heard a mechanic say hand tight plus a quarter turn is plenty for drain plugs.
