Crossed 300,000 miles on my old 7.3 and it still starts first crank

Hit 300k on the odometer last Tuesday heading back from a job in Fresno. That truck has been through two water pumps, one transmission, and a cracked exhaust manifold I fixed with a welder and a prayer. The milestone mattered because I bought it at 180k from a guy who swore it was 'ran hard' and I figured I'd get maybe two years out of it. Been six years now and it's still my daily driver and backup rig for the crew. Anyone else got a high-mileage truck they refuse to let go because it owes them nothing?

Got a 2001 F-250 with 287k on the clock right now. Bought it cheap because the bed was rusted out and the previous owner blew a head gasket. Threw a junkyard motor in it five years ago and it has been rock solid since. Still haul my dump trailer with it every weekend and it never complains. These old trucks just plain keep going if you give them basic oil changes and don't beat on them.
