Overheard a building manager say something about invoice timing that stuck with me
I was grabbing breakfast at a diner near 8 Mile last week and caught two building managers talking at the next table. One said he always sends payment requests on Tuesday mornings because that's when his clients check email first. Made me think about how I handle billing for my commercial tree work. I used to just send invoices whenever, but now I wait for Tuesday morning and it's cut my wait time by about a week. Has anyone else noticed a difference in when you send commercial service invoices?

Timing matters everywhere, right down to when you call the plumber.

Whoa, I gotta push back on that! Timing can actually be way overrated in a lot of situations. If your sink is gushing water, you don't wait for the "right" moment, you call whoever picks up first, even at 2 AM. And for regular stuff like swapping out an old water heater, you can pretty much schedule it whenever and it'll work fine. Plus, good plumbers are usually busy, so if you try to time it perfectly you might just miss your slot and end up waiting weeks. Sometimes just jumping on it when you think of it gets things done faster than trying to find some magic window.
