Just found out Detroit has a free grease recycling program for restaurants

I was digging through the city's waste management site last night and saw they'll pick up used cooking oil for free if you're a commercial kitchen. Has anyone here actually used it or is it a pain to schedule?

Buddy runs a diner in Hamtramck, said it's super easy - they just leave the barrel out back and the truck grabs it every other Thursday. Never had a missed pickup in two years.

Got a buddy who runs a bakery shop downtown and he said the same thing about his recycling pickup. Gave me a whole rant about how they always come on time unless there's a snowstorm, but that's rare around here. Honestly makes me wonder why everyone complains about city services so much when places like Hamtramck seem to have it figured out.
