Debate: Did paying $800 for a commercial fridge repair save my business or just burn cash?

I dropped $800 on a rush repair for a walk-in cooler that went down midweek, and it was back running in 4 hours but I'm wondering if I should have just bought a backup unit for $2k instead. Has anyone else gambled on repairs versus replacements and regretted it?

Hang on, you said "walk-in cooler" but then compared it to a "backup unit" for 2k. A backup walk-in cooler for 2 grand? Those are basically glorified chillers or a used reach-in. Not really solving your problem if the walk-in goes down again.
