Back in 08 I lost a whole day because a truck delivery showed up three hours late.

I was waiting on a shipment of drywall for a commercial job on Jefferson Ave and nobody showed until 4 PM. The crew stood around getting paid for nothing and the client asked me if I even knew how to schedule a delivery. Has anyone else had a supplier just blow off a window like that?

Man that is brutal... waiting around all day with a crew on the clock and nothing to show for it is the worst feeling. I've had suppliers ghost me on a window too and it always makes you look bad when it wasn't even your fault. Really feel for you on that one, especially with the client getting on your case about it.

I always look bad when it wasn't even your fault" - man that hits home. Reminds me of the time I ordered a custom steel beam for a deck extension, waited two months for it, and when it finally showed up it was three inches too short. The supplier swore they measured it right but someone on the loading dock must have swapped the paperwork. Ended up having to weld a plate on the end and hope nobody noticed. Client just stared at me like I was running a clown show.
