Saw a dude at the park in Denver feeding squirrels from his hand yesterday
He was just sitting there with a bag of peanuts and they were climbing right up his leg. Part of me thinks it's cool and they're just being friendly, but another part worries it's bad for them and they'll get too used to people. Anyone know if this is actually harmful or just a harmless quirk?

Honestly, my buddy used to do that with the squirrels by his apartment. Tbh it seemed fine until one got super bold and actually bit a kid who was just eating a granola bar. Ngl it kinda made me think it's not worth the risk.

Come on @charlie_schmidt, how often does that actually happen? Seems like a pretty rare thing to get worked up over.
