Just hit 50 straight days of walking my dog before 7am

I started doing it to get my step count up, but I didn't think I'd actually keep going this long lol. It took about 3 weeks before it stopped feeling like a chore and just became normal. Should I push for 100 days or give myself a break once in a while?

50 days is a solid streak, but what happens on day 51 when you're running late or the weather's crap? Are you gonna beat yourself up over it? A break might reset your momentum more than you think. Would you rather have a perfect number on a counter or keep showing up consistently for the long haul? That's the real question.

Wait, @dakota_taylor39 are you serious? Did you just say a break might reset your momentum? That's like telling someone with a perfect driving record to go ahead and crash so they don't have to worry about keeping the streak alive. That doesn't make any sense. A streak isn't about being perfect, it's about proving to yourself you can do something even when it sucks. If you're running late, you still get a run in. If the weather's crap, you go when it clears or you suffer through it. That's what builds the habit. Breaking it on purpose just teaches your brain that stopping is an option.
