That mechanic in Tulsa told me to ignore the dash light, big mistake
My buddy Rick, who's worked on trucks for 20 years, said the coolant temp warning on my 2017 F-150 was just a sensor glitch. I trusted him because he's saved me cash before, but two weeks later I blew a head gasket on Route 66 near Claremore. The tow and repair ran me $2,400, and Rick admitted he'd seen that exact failure three times that month. Has anyone else gotten confident advice from a friend that ended up costing way more than a shop would've?

Rick saw 3 of those blow that month and still said ignore it? Man, that hurts.
