Just realized store greeters are my favorite part of bad weather days
So it's been raining sideways here in Portland for 3 days straight. I stopped at the Fred Meyer on 82nd to grab stuff for dinner and I was soaked and grumpy. The greeter at the door, this older guy named Ron, handed me a paper towel without me even asking. Said "the rain gets everyone, here ya go." Then he told me which checkout lanes were open so I didn't have to wander around like a lost duck. I've been in there a hundred times and never really noticed the greeters before. But on days like this they actually make a difference. Is it just me or do greeters get more useful when the weather is garbage? Anyone else have a greeter save them from a bad shopping trip lately?

Man, greeters are the real MVPs when the sky opens up on us.
