Blew $150 on a stain removal service that made my carpet worse
Took my living room rug to a place near Austin that guaranteed they'd get red wine out, and they just spread it around into a bigger blob. Has anyone else had a company damage their stuff and refuse to make it right?

That company sound like they didn't even try to spot test before going in. Did you get a chance to see their actual cleaning solution setup or did they just show up with a spray bottle and a rag? Would be curious if they moved the stain around with a machine or if it was purely hand work gone wrong. Usually when a company makes things worse, they'll try to blame it on the fabric or say your first attempt to clean it set the stain permanently. If you still have the receipt or any photos from before and after, that's your only real leverage with a chargeback.

Maybe it's just me but nobody is talking about how their guarantee probably has fine print saying "stains removed in controlled conditions" or some loophole. Idk if you paid with a credit card but that might be your best bet to fight this, especially if you have before and after photos. A chargeback would force them to actually respond instead of just ghosting you like they probably did. Just a heads up though some companies will try to ban you from future services if you win the dispute, but honestly after that experience who would go back anyway.
