Spent 30 minutes on a scene that got cut at a writers room in Burbank

I was pitching a fantasy story and this one producer kept asking for more detail on a subplot, so I fleshed it out for hours only for the lead writer to nix the whole thing. Has anyone else had their work completely trashed by a room full of people who can't agree on anything?

oh man, "fleshed it out for hours only for the lead writer to nix the whole thing" hit way too close to home. spent three days rewriting a villain's backstory that got axed in ten seconds cause the showrunner "wasn't feeling it.
