Just realized my cat's weird habit is perfect for a writing prompt

She stares at empty corners for HOURS. Now I'm genuinely confused about what she sees and it's giving me story ideas.

You know how cats stare at nothing sometimes? My buddy's old apartment had a corner like that, and his cat would watch it every night. He started writing down what he imagined the cat saw, and it turned into this whole creepy series about ghosts only animals can notice. Said it was the easiest writing he ever did because the cat gave him free ideas. Kinda makes you wonder what's really in those empty spaces.

Cats probably see things we just can't. I read they notice small movements and light changes we miss. It explains why @carr.casey's buddy's ghost stories from his cat seem so real.

Wait, what if cats aren't just seeing ghosts, but a whole other layer of stuff we just filter out? Like, maybe their brains are tuned to a different channel of reality, all the tiny shifts in air and dust and light. It's a cool idea for stories, but honestly that also kinda freaks me out a little. Makes my own cat staring at the wall way more interesting.
