Warning: dropped 40 bucks on a phone app that was supposed to help me figure out load charts
I mean I get it, I was lazy and didn't want to pull out my laminated chart in the rain. Saw some ad for an app that said it could calculate capacities for any boom angle and radius, so I paid the 40 bucks for the year. Turns out it was off by almost 800 pounds on a pick near the edge of the chart, and the guy I was working with caught it before we lifted. Stick with the book the manufacturer gave you or the card in your cab, that app is not worth the risk. Has anyone found an app that actually matches the chart or should I just quit looking?
