Got stuck on a blind pick behind a building for 2 hours
I was setting a 6-ton AC unit on a rooftop in downtown Austin last Tuesday, but the building next door blocked my line of sight and I couldn't see the landing zone no matter what angle I took. Ended up having to rely on hand signals from a guy who kept giving me the wrong directions, and it took forever to get it set down safe. Has anyone else had a blind pick take way longer than it should have, and what did you do to fix it on the fly?

Did the GoPro battery make it through the whole two hours though?

Wait, is it really that big of a deal if the battery dies halfway through? I mean, you can always swap batteries or plug it in if you're near an outlet (which you probably are if you're doing compressor work in a parking garage). Seems like a lot of setup for something that could be solved by just buying an extra battery for like 20 bucks.

Yeah, I feel your pain. Had to blind pick a compressor behind a parking garage once. I started using a GoPro on a selfie stick taped to a broom handle, then video called my ground guy so I could see what he saw. Worked way better than hand signals.
