It took me 20 years to fix one haircut mistake I'd been making since day one.

I was doing a precision bob on a regular last Tuesday and kept fighting with the left side. After an hour of frustration I finally realized I'd been holding my shears at a slight angle for two decades, throwing my lines off just a hair. My old mentor used to tell me to "level your blades like a fence post" and I never got what she meant until that moment. Has anyone else suddenly figured out a basic thing they'd been getting wrong for years?

What changed in your hand positioning to finally get that fence post alignment right?

Have you tried squaring your shears to the part line before every cut?
