500th balayage today, did not see that coming

I counted appointments in my book after my last chair today and landed on exactly 500 balayage services done since I started at this salon in Austin. That milestone surprised me because I remember my first one taking 4 hours and coming out splotchy, so what number made you stop and think about how far you have come?

Did you ever have one of those days where you glue your own finger to a mannequin head mid-foiling? That happened to me around my 300th color, and I sat there for ten minutes before I realized I could just wash it off with acetone. It's funny how the messy moments stick with you more than the clean ones, right?
