Warning: That 'smart' power strip fried my drill battery
Came back to the jobsite in Phoenix after lunch and my 18V battery was dead as a doornail. Turns out the fancy power strip I bought for my charging station has a surge protector that trips when the temp hits 110, which it does every damn day here. It killed the charge cycle mid-way and the battery crapped out. I'm out $180 on a new one, and the old setup with a plain outlet never gave me grief. Has anyone else dealt with temp-sensitive tech on site, or am I just cursed with bad luck?
