Showerthought: my takeoff software cut a 6 hour count down to 90 minutes and now I don't trust it
Last week I ran a full plan takeoff on a 4 story apartment job in Dayton and the auto count spat out an answer in 90 minutes that used to eat most of a Tuesday by hand. The catch is I spent another 2 hours spot checking fixtures because I couldn't shake the feeling it missed something, and it did skip 14 units hidden in a detail callout. How long did it take you folks to actually trust the count your software gives you?
