PSA: My total station picked up a ghost reading from a chain link fence in Tulsa
I was laying out foundation pins on a job site in Tulsa and my total station kept throwing a reading 3 feet off from where my tape said it should be. Turned out the laser was bouncing off a chain link fence behind the property line and giving me a fake point. I caught it because the rodman said "hey, that don't line up with the string" so I walked the shot back and saw the fence in the line of sight. Moved the setup 10 feet to the left and everything came back clean. How do you all handle stray reflections when you can't move the setup spot?
