My site's 3D printer disaster taught me a hard lesson

We used a 3D concrete printer to build a foundation wall. The machine's software had a glitch that no one caught early. It poured the mix in uneven layers, causing weak spots. We found cracks all over after it dried. Fixing it meant breaking the wall and starting from scratch. This set us back weeks and blew the budget. I now think this tech is too risky for real jobs until it's foolproof.

Was it a software glitch with your printer too? My buddy had a similar thing happen with a smaller printed concrete planter. The layers didn't bond right in one section, so it sounded hollow when you tapped it. They had to scrap the whole batch, which idk, I mean it wasn't a house but still cost a bunch to redo.

That hollow tap sound is the stuff of nightmares when you scale it up to a whole wall. Makes you wonder what other bonding issues don't make a noise until it's too late.

Yeah after @cameron_harris20's story I'm way less sure about this tech.
