My neighbor's Wi-Fi name changed 3 times in 2 weeks and I think I know why
Last month I started noticing weird stuff on my street in Phoenix. My neighbor's Wi-Fi name went from "SmithFamily5G" to "SmithFam_Setup" to "NETGEAR_Guest" in 14 days. Then a van with no plates sat outside their house for 3 hours on a Tuesday, and my Ring cam caught a guy walking the sidewalk twice staring at their meter. I asked my neighbor about it and he said his internet "just kept dropping" so the company sent techs out. But here is the thing, the techs never knocked, never rang the bell, and he never got a work order number. I pulled up the FCC antenna registration map for our zip code and there are 2 new small cell nodes approved 6 weeks ago that nobody on the block got a letter about. Has anyone else seen their router get swapped or reset without asking, or am I reading too much into this?
