My neighbor claimed 9/11 was an inside job and I finally snapped

Last Saturday at a block party in Phoenix, my neighbor Dave started going on about how the Twin Towers were brought down by controlled demolition. He pointed at some video on his phone and said the collapse was too perfect for a plane hit. I told him the NIST report already debunked that stuff with engineering data. He just kept repeating the same talking points without any sources. Has anyone here actually read the full NIST report and found real holes, or is it just people watching YouTube clips?

Wait, you're telling me a beer and changing the subject actually worked? That's wild... I tried that with my brother once and he just sat there staring at his glass like I'd grown a second head. He kept bringing it back up every ten minutes no matter what I said. Maybe I picked the wrong bar or the wrong beer, but that approach backfired so badly for me.
