Ngl, the week we poured a 40-yard slab for that new brewery in Bend was the best and worst at the same time.

Honestly, the owner kept bringing us fresh samples all afternoon, but by the time we were done edging, we were so tired we could barely enjoy it. Anyone ever finish a job where the 'perks' were almost too good?

That's the funny thing about those job perks. They can backfire if the timing is off. I remember a roofing crew that got a huge tip in the form of a fancy steak dinner gift card. Problem was, they were all so sunburned and sore that just sitting in a restaurant booth felt like torture. The gift was amazing, but they couldn't enjoy it when they got it. Makes you wish for a rain check sometimes.
