Spent 4 hours chasing a DNS issue that was just a bad cable

Last week I was troubleshooting a client's server that couldn't resolve any domain names. I checked DNS settings, flushed caches, even rebuilt the config file before finally swapping out a Cat5e cable that looked fine. Has anyone else wasted half a day on something that simple?

Oh man, tell me about it. @the_drew I've definitely been that guy who checks the DNS servers before checking if the cable is actually plugged in all the way. My whole career is just me fixing problems I accidentally created.
