Just read that over 40% of business computers still run Windows 10

I was looking at some numbers from a tech report site yesterday. It said that even with Windows 11 being out, a huge chunk of business machines haven't upgraded. I guess it makes sense with older hardware and software that needs checking. But seeing the actual number, 43%, kind of shocked me. It means a lot of the systems we're fixing are still on the older OS. How many of you are still dealing with Windows 10 installs for your shop clients?

Forty-three percent sounds about right! We're still rolling out Windows 11 images for new machines, but half my day is still spent on Windows 10 systems. It's the classic business move, avoid the upgrade until the last possible second. I bet we'll see that number hold steady until the 2025 end-of-support date gets really close. Then it'll be a mad rush to update everything at once.

Yeah, that "mad rush" part is what got me. I used to think businesses were just being lazy, but now I see they're just waiting for the panic to set in. It's gonna be a mess.
