Client's 'virus' turned out to be a screensaver from 2004
Last Tuesday a customer brought in a laptop that was 'totally hacked' because the screen kept flipping upside down. I checked for malware for about 20 minutes before I noticed the screensaver settings were set to a 3D maze with a hotkey that rotated the display. It was WinXP era software still running on Windows 10, and the old Ctrl+Alt+arrow shortcut was being triggered by their cat stepping on the keyboard. Has anyone else had a 'critical failure' that was just some ancient setting doing its thing?

Reminds me of a printer jam that was just a paperclip stuck in the tray.
