Took the express bus for 3 years before I realized I had the route backwards

So I've been riding the 7A express into downtown for about 3 years now. Every morning I'd grab a seat, put on my headphones, and stare out the window. Last week the bus got rerouted due to construction, and suddenly I noticed we were passing landmarks in a weird order. I pulled up the map on my phone and realized the express route actually loops around the east side first before hitting the highway. I've been seeing the same neighborhoods, just in a totally different sequence than I assumed. Made me wonder how many other daily habits I've got completely wrong just because I never actually paid attention. Anyone else ever discover something like that on their regular commute after years of doing it the same way?
