Just hit 500 hours on my Kirby Morgan hat and the logbook made me stop
I was filling out my dive log last night and saw the total. It's not a huge number, but it's the first piece of gear I've put that much time on without a major service. It made me think about all the little checks I do now, like the o-ring on the comms plug, that I used to rush through. Has anyone else had a piece of kit hit a number that made you trust it more, or start checking it twice?

That's a solid milestone for a hat. Makes you wonder what other gear we use is just quietly hitting its own numbers without us noticing.

Hats don't really track miles, they just get old.

You said it gets you to check the little things now. What was the one small check you used to skip that you absolutely would not skip today? Like, what's the first thing you look at before you even put the hat on?
