TIL a $15 bucket of paint hid a 12-foot crack for 4 years

We stripped the old coating off a loading dock wall in Austin last month and found a huge repair someone had just slopped over back in 2020, never told anyone. The crack ran the whole height of the panel, but the paint job was so clean nobody noticed until we sandblasted it. Anyone else find a hidden disaster under a cheap cosmetic fix?
