Spent $2,800 on a used skid steer for my commercial site in Tulsa, and it paid for itself in 6 weeks
Was paying $400 a day to rent one every time we needed to move dirt or clear debris on my 12,000 sq ft retail build, so I finally just bought a beat up 2012 Bobcat S185 off a guy in Tulsa, and even after $600 in hydraulic repairs it already saved me close to $5k on that one job, has anyone else gone the buy used route over renting?
A $2,800 skid steer that pays for itself in 6 weeks is basically a fairy tale where the princess is a beat up Bobcat with a leaky hydraulic hose. That $400 a day rental rate is the real crime here, that's what, like 7 days of renting and you already bought the thing. Sounds like the only loser in this story is the rental company wondering where their Tulsa customer went.
