More fans are digging into indie comics these days

I've been hitting up small press fairs and see loads of new stuff. It's cool how people share recommendations for hidden gems. I started drawing my own short stories inspired by these finds. Sharing them with friends has led to some great talks. Honestly, it's a fresh way to enjoy the hobby.

But how many people are actually into this stuff beyond a small crowd? Most indie comics barely sell a few copies and fade away quickly. It's fun for hobbyists, but let's not pretend it's changing the world.

Saga sold millions of copies and was in mainstream bookstores for years. That reach started in the indie scene.
