Logged my 500th comic in my spreadsheet and realized half my collection is stuff I haven't touched since 2019
Hit that number last night while adding a stack of dollar bin books from a flea market in Jersey. The weird part is I flipped back through the tabs and a solid 250 of them are still bagged from when I bought them, never once opened for a re-read. So what's your cutoff for an actual keeper versus just hoarding for the number?
Ha, this hits way too close to home. I started a spreadsheet to keep things organized and now I just feed it numbers like some kind of dragon sitting on a pile of unread comics. My honest cutoff is pretty simple: if I cant remember the story a year later, it goes in the sell pile. I used to tell myself "oh I'll re-read it someday" but someday never came for like 80 percent of my long boxes. Now I keep a small shelf of stuff I actually pull down and flip through, and the rest is just plastic-wrapped guilt. 500 is a wild number though, congrats on the milestone.
