Went back to my old hand grinder after 8 years with an electric one
I got a Baratza Virtuoso back in 2016 as a gift and used it every day. Last month the motor started making this grinding noise so I pulled out my old Hario Skerton from the back of the cupboard. Honestly the cleanup is way easier and I dont miss the noise. But man I forgot how long it takes to hand grind for a 16oz French press. Takes me like 3 solid minutes now. Anyone else ditch their electric grinder for a while and notice a difference in the taste?

Three minutes is nothing for coffee that actually tastes good. I did the same thing last year and never looked back.
