Spent 45 minutes cleaning my grinder burrs with a toothpick

I finally took apart my Baratza Encore after months of lazy cleaning and found old coffee oil caked on the burrs that took forever to scrape off. Has anyone else spent way too long picking at those tiny ridges with a toothpick or am I just doing this wrong?

That 'oddly satisfying once you're done' is so true though. lol. I had the same thing happen with my Encore where I let it go for like 6 months and the oil was literally stuck in every single ridge. Took me a whole Netflix episode with a toothpick and a small brush to get it all out. I think the worst part is when you think you got it all but then you flip the burr over and see more gunk hiding in the back. Also found a few stray beans that got wedged in there somehow. The satisfaction of seeing the clean metal after is real but man the time investment is ridiculous for something you do every day.

Oh, the "took forever to scrape off" part really hit home for me. I spent nearly an hour last month on my old Rocky grinder with a dental pick because I let the buildup go for way too long. It's oddly satisfying once you're done but I can't believe how much time I waste on those tiny ridges.
