PSA: Stop resetting your espresso machine mid-pull after a bad shot
I watched three people at the brew bar in Portland do this last Saturday and every single one messed up their next shot. You lose the group head temp and the boiler pressure surge makes it harsher, so just wait 2 minutes and pull again. Has anyone else noticed this at their local shop?

Can you actually SEE the difference in the cup between a shot pulled right after a reset and one pulled after waiting? I’m wondering if some people are just chasing that perfect crema visual and not really tasting the harshness. Because if the taste is basically the same to them, good luck getting anyone to stop.
