I just realized my grinder has seen me through 1,000 morning routines.

That little machine has been there for every sunrise, bad day, and good idea since I moved to Portland three years ago.

Oh wow, that hits deep. It's wild how these everyday objects end up holding so much of our story. I mean, it's just a grinder, but it's been there for all of it. That kind of quiet, reliable thing in your life is everything. Makes me look at my own old coffee mug a bit different now.

Yeah, that "quiet, reliable thing" is the whole point. My old leather jacket is like that. It's just there, but it's been with me through so many big days and boring nights. I stopped trying to replace it with something newer. Now I just appreciate the broken-in feel and the memories. It's okay for things to be worn out if they still do their job and mean something.

Man, @anna567 you're spot on with that coffee mug thing. I actually had to learn this the hard way after I kept buying new phone cases every six months thinking I needed an upgrade. Then I finally stuck with this one cheap case, and it's got all these scuffs and a crack in the corner now, but it's never failed me. Honestly, sometimes the stuff that's been through the wringer with you is the stuff that actually works best, even if it looks a little rough around the edges.
