Hit 500 home brews this morning and honestly I lost count around 300

I was cleaning out my notebook and saw I marked every batch since I started in 2021. Hit 500 this morning with a natural Ethiopian from a roaster in Austin. I didn't think I'd stick with it this long but the routine just kinda grew on me. Anyone else keep track of their brew count or do you just go by feel?

500 home brews and you still remember to count? That's more dedication than I put into my tax returns.

Honestly I used to think tracking was pointless too. Like who cares if you lose count after a few batches right? But man once I hit around 200 I started wanting to know what worked and what didn't. Now I keep a simple notebook and it's actually helped me repeat my best recipes way more consistently. So yeah I get why it seems over the top but it really does make a difference.
