Why does nobody talk about how slow drip coffee tastes flat after 20 minutes on the burner?
I switched from leaving my drip pot on the hot plate to pouring it into a thermos right after brewing a week ago, and the difference in taste is wild, so does anyone else think the burner is the real problem here?
Man, yes! I did the same thing a few months back and could not believe the difference. That hot plate just keeps cooking the coffee and burning off all the good stuff, so by the time you get a second cup it tastes like cardboard water. Thermos all the way, it stays hot for hours and still tastes like actual coffee.
