That free course I brushed off for months actually taught me more than the paid bootcamp

Kept ignoring those FreeCodeCamp emails because I figured free stuff had to be watered down. Dropped $800 on a bootcamp and struggled hard. Finally tried FCC out of frustration and their responsive web design section clicked way better. The whole project based approach just worked for me where the bootcamp had me copying slides. Has anyone else found a free resource that outperformed something you paid for?

Yeah same here, thought free stuff was garbage but Im totally wrong.

Is it weird that I actually get excited now when I see those little freebie samples in packages? I used to just toss them without even looking, but now I'm like "oh sweet, let me see what this is." Some of those trial sizes have turned into stuff I actually buy full bottles of now. It's funny how something that seems too good to be true actually works out sometimes.
